Fred Whitton Riders

So the time has come for around 1200 silly men and woman to torture themselves for around 6-10 hours in the saddle. Riding over 7 passes in the Lake District and more then likely experience every type of weather Mother Nature can throw at them.

I am far to intelligent to partake in such a foolish act, but since I know many that will I do like to help out my foolish comrades by making sure they are taken care of on the day.

So myself and Steph and possibly a few other lovely ladies will be near the summit of the climb just before Dockray from about 8 until 10:00am, the top of Winlatter from around 11 until 130 and then we will head to Coniston for the finish.

A few riders are giving us their bottles and energy products as well as extra clothing etc to get when they reach us along the route, if you would like to utilize this please let me know ASAP so we can arrange for you to drop off the stuff on Saturday. I will be at Coniston on Saturday afternoon around 1pm to meet a few riders that are preregistering.

I will also have some extra water and some extra energy drink mixes ect if you find you need a bit of a top up.

You will spot us as we will be the ones flying the Flanders Lion flag on the left hand side of the road at the Dockray spot and winlatter we will be where ever there is room to set up.

I hope everyone has a fabulous and safe ride. Give us lovely ladies a wave when you ride past and stop if you need anything.

We are more then happy to hold onto kit ect and give back to you at the finish.
